Mend Cannon 10538G 4MK Gas Ignition Problem

Ignition of Cannon Stratford cooker (Model 10538G 4MK) is not working?

Ignition of my Cannon Stratford cooker (Model 10538G 4MK) is not working. I have changed the battery but still not working. Actually, there is no click like ignition sound when I press the ignition switch.

Any advice?

the battery conpartment as got a red wire and a green wire on it the conpartment should just flick out with a screwdriver make sure the wires are connected properly dont pull out to far as the wires are not very long
