Mend Electrolux RM 4271 Switch Power Thermostat

how to fix my electrolux rm 4271?

i can switch on the power with the green switch ok,
but as soon as i turn the thermostat switch everything
in the caravan trips out, it will work on gas ok,
could it be a faulty thermostat or has the element gone, can you help, thanks
