how to repair velux sash?

the lower portion of the sash on our 25 year old velux moveable sky light has rotted out; velux says it has no parts because it is so old; rest of window and flashing is fine; is it possible to get just the glass with sash? just sash pieces? do we need to buy all new skylight and reinstall from scratch? I sure hope not as rest of window is fine

my guess is the frame is not far behind breaking up plastic doesn't last for ever. If it's wood make one, or just get local trusted builder to replace the whole unit.
Measure up existing unit and price up the same size unit or near it, at retail take off 20% roughly what builder get in discount then get a few estimates. The hard work is done the opening is already there.
