A water leak into the drivers well of my 2004 VW passat?

How can I fix a water leak into the drivers well of my 2004 VW passat. I have checked every where.

the seal on the pollen filter housing under the windscreen on the passenger side is shot.very hard to get at it but if you can use a good silicone sealer and that should fix you up

have you checked the drains aren`t blocked at the bulkhead in the engine compartment
