How can I fix my 54 plate rwd transit 115psi duratorq gearbox ?

Yes it does sound more like clutch / Dualmass rather than gearbox. However I fitted a solid flywheel in replacement for a Dualmass on a customers van and it only lasted 14 months before the clutch gave up again. They put a Dualmass on a vehicle for a reason I will not fit a replacement kit solid flywheel again because of the hassle that I had with the one that I had fitted.

highly likely to be your dual mass flywheel,you can get solid flywheels for these now.
