Mend Insinkerator SLC 370 Working Started Hours

Insinkerator SLC 370 has just stopped working?

After using our insinkerator for 3 years it just started to work sometimes and not others. When it didn't work it would come on by itself a few hours later!! It has now stopped altogether. Has it had its life span or can we mend it somehow?
