Mend Insinkerator 444 Problem Weeks Start

insinkerator 444 ?

it hums i have done the wrench and spins freely all the way around. it has had the problem for the past few weeks but just a few spins and it would start up but now will not. also at times will not even hum?

Insinkerator Insinkerator 444 Kitchen Appliances, Waste Disposal Units Problem Weeks Start

I have called InsinkErator and they say after talking to the tech folks (who dont know squat) that it sounds like the stator for the electrical field is bad and a new one is approx 80 bucks plus install. IM going to buy a new one tomorrow!
