My foot pedal has developed this no speed control and full on top speed problem! On dismantling the foot control box I was dismayed to discover that there are no capacitors in the system! Since removing them seems to be the solution yet my machine runs at full speed without them, what now?
Hi Ken,
the foot control is a push button type. It was running fine with full control then it suddenly changed to no control and switched to no control and full speed! Having read that removing the capacitor(s) could cure the problem I was dismayed to discover that there are no capacitors in the system nor evidence that there ever was!

Hello Donald,
Not sure of the part number you have given but if you have either the clam type or push button control and you have taken the capacitor out then the machine will not run on unless the adjusting screw has been adjusted to run the machine full on without pressing on the pedal.
