how can I fix my Gainsborough 9.5E shower?

I have the same fault with my 9.5e. Only repair available is to replace the shower engine (Gainsborough 482802) at about £56 incl. tax, from Gainsborough direct. Because the 'engine' is the whole working part - heater etc - the replacement time and effort is similar to that for replacement of whole shower unit; but without buying another cover and shower-head etc. It is straightforward for a competent diy person; however, if in doubt employ a certified electrician.
