how to repair beko frost free fridge freezer cda543fs?

BEKO FROST FREE FRIDGE FREEZER CDA543FS ( Not affected by recent scare )... my 2007 model has stopped working. the interior light is on but both the fridge & freezer are not working. There were no strange noises or any other warnings, just soggy frozen food. We had just stocked up for the BBQ season too! We have switched it off & on again in the hope that FF's work like PC's, sadly not. This has cost us a fortune in wasted food & really can't afford an engineer.

go round the back and look on the left hand side of the compressor.Is there a white plastic box mounted to the cabinet?.if so pop the round cap and insert a flat bladed screwdriver.plug the appliance in and carefully turn the timer cam clockwise with your screwdriver and see if it starts up.By the way this is the issue of the recall from what I have been told!
