alarm code al05 / trips electrics?

I have a Hotpoint DWM75 Dishwasher. Have had it for 7 years and it's run okay - until now!

Started with alarm code AL03 which thanks to great advice on this website I managed to fix (apple stalk in the drain pump!).

Once I had fixed that I thought that would be it and I could put the marigolds back under the sink.

I was wrong! Went to do the 12 minute test wash and after two minutes alarm code AL05 appeared. In the manual this shows as "filter blocked / needs cleaning".

The filter appears clean and not blocked. I took the machine apart again and checked the pipes and all seems okay.

The same thing happened though on starting again only this time the dishwasher is tripping out my electrics in the house whenever I turn it on now.

Help! Any advice much appreciated as I am at my wits end!

Really don't want to spend money on another dishwasher when I feel this can be fixed.
