Whats wrong with my 2003 iveco 35S13?

Hi Guys, My vehicle starts when cold and makes this knocking noise when steering is turned. if its at idle, it causes engine to stall. start again and it runs rough. turn off and start again, runs ok but a bit rough at high revs with a bit of rumbling. EDC light flashes when revs increase.
Can anyone help ???
