How do I fix/repair boom type sound from front of van when turning steering wheel. Ldv Maxus van

dont know what a boom type sound is but check for broken springs,also top of front struts is an aluminium housing which the top bearing sits in,had these corroded and broken up before causing knocking,check lower balljoints,t/rod ends for play and lower arm bolts coming loose
