Mend Diplomat DF300 Fridge Freezer Thermostat

diplomat fridge freezer. fridge is warm at the top?

the bulb was hot in the top so I have taken this out to determine if this was the fault. I have also turned the thermostat up. But prior to this, I have notice large clumps of Ice forming on the back inside and sometimes pools of water in the bottom.

is the fridge on its way out or is there a simple solution?
