2005 zx6r engine oil light flashes at idle?

it was low on oil,i did an oil change with mobile 1 synthetic,and kn filter,light no longer comes on or flashes,the knock was from the engine trying to stay running as it stalls ,it does not knock during riding or at idle in driveway,its sounds like it it is being starved of either air or fuel,i repl air filter today cause it was pretty dirty with a new kn,runs very nice now,but i have to feather the the throttle still when i come to a stop or it will still stall out sometimes,but it is not as bad as before and can deal with it ,it will sit at idle all day long but if i rum the engine up in neutral it stalls out only when the rpms come back down to idle,i found out it has a muzzys powercomander on it,does this need to be tuned or is it a throttle adjustment?

If your engine light is flashing and you have a knocking noise you have low oil pressure and your engine is not being lubed properly. your engine needs major work before it blows.

that dont sound good ! these bikes have a oil pressure swith unlike the yamahas that have a oil level swith which is much better,unfortunately the type you have is a bit like shutting the stable doors after the horses have run away,have you run it low on oil before?i would say if it has a knocking it will be a big end bearing as they do not have a small end bearing the gudgeon pins run diectly in the con rods and are fed via a small hole in the top centre of the rod.the big end is pressure fed oil from the oil pump and if the gap in the bearing is too big from wear or previous oil starvation it will not be able to give enough resistance to the oil pressure and therefore put the pressure light on.so i would suggest you get someone who really knows what they are talking about to listen to the noise before you go any further with it you may well need a new crankshaft in it.if you had said that the light comes on but there were no bad noises i would say change the oil pressure swith first but it seems to be telling you the truth about the amont of oil pressure you have.

could be low on oil. nocking noise might be little end bearing. on its way out.
