ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. IF YOU USETHE CLAMPING METHOD MENTIONED.

One thing I did forget was to grease with vaselene the top board to prevent glue that ouses out the re-lamination holes from stick to the board or it will stick to the floor.

.

Soft area is the floor has de-laminated from the insulation ie the glue holding the sandwiched flooring together has failed in that area on the top flooring.
Check out ebay for strange as it sounds a de-lamination kit.

HOW CARAVANS AND MOTORHOME BODYWORK IS MADE. OR SO i'VE BEEN TOLD AND READ ABOUT.

Think of the floor as a ham sandwich the ham being the insulation the slices of bread being the floor and underside.
Plywood top and bottom with a polystyrene type insulation block together with strengthening struts where needed. The base ply board is covered in glue the then the struts where needed and polystyrene laid on/in between struts, then the top is coated in glue and laid on the polystyrene the whole lot is placed in a press to bond it together, then cut as is required or even first cut to rough shape. It happens your soft spot is where the glue has failed over time.
Look on ebay for strange as it sounds a ‘De-lamination kit. Or check with local caravan/motorhome dealer with a shop they may have a kit and ask the best way to weight the repair area once the fluid is in.
Possible ok never saw him again a chap on site drilled a 3/8” hole right through floor midway in the repair. Put a nut on the rod greased with vaselene /petroleum jelly the threaded section of rod that will be in the repair to stop glue sticking to it. Cut two squares of ½” ply wood 3” all round larger than repair. placed one board on the rod against a nut about 3” up the rod. Fed rod through hole propped it then inside added second board washer and nut and tightened it down fairly tight to press the floor onto the glue. Once set removed the boards and rod.
Rod and nuts from B&Q or Wickes.
