i have just finished buliding my pc i have installed all the parts correctly as far as i know ...... anyway the motherboard i purchesed for my system never came with a vga port so i brougt a Graphix card with a vga port on it i have installed the card but when i turn computer power on tower powers up but the screen still stays on stand by i know the card i brough is compatable with my mother board becausse the box says time 8x and i no the screen works because i use it in my other pc so....
whay wont the screen come on when i turn power on can any one help thanks j
JAY, Check the clock speed jumperand see if its right for your cpu your manual tells you how. older one are 100mhz and 133mhz And check to see if your cpu is getting hot. and your fan is in the cpu fan 1 location

If the sreen stays blank then the cpu isn't correct.or motherboard problems unplug reset and all leds to front hhled power led etc, to made sould you did it right.Your manal with the board should show you the pin plug in!

See if you can boot up into the BIOS via F2 or Delete and alter some settings. Also, it will be helpful to let us know what graphics card, motherboard, and processor you are using to help identify the problem.
