what colour is your spark plug if its black it too rich and if its white its to lean sounds like you need to change the fuel to air mix find the screw then screw it in all the way not too tight,then its roughly 2and a half turns anti clockwise get it running then adjust it according

i dont think it is the carb.it myt be the e choke but that is new eny 1 no what controles the e choke is it a rellay

rayb said to check the main jet, just blow a jet of air through it to clear it,not a pin as you will enlarge the jet and will be impossible to calibrate, while you've got the float bowl off you may as well check everything else.
