Mend Land Rover Mirror Side Door

range rover electric mirror?

Range Rover Vogue March 2009. Passenger side door mirror should 'dip' to point downwards to kerb line when reverse is selected. Slight knock on mirror case when parking and now doesn't dip anymore. Can you help please? Any ideas what's wrong? How can I get into the outer plastic mirror mechanism case to check?
Any help gratefully received.
