i have just had a new starter motor fitted but sometimes y 2003 transit fails to start electrics all light up but wont start sometimes after i try 5 or 6 times it starts next time it starts right away any suggestions before i pay for a garage to look at it thanks for any help

had a similar problem on my Convoy, sometimes it would be ok sometimes it would just click. The machined face of the new motor had to little metal, stopping gear from going forward. I used large washers in between motor and engine mine is fine now. hope this is of help?
