Chains fitted to electric chainsaws are no diffeent in terms and quality than those fitted to equivalent entry level or pruning petrol chainsaw saws so it's not the chain that's the problem. It's what you're cutting or the way you are cutting. My guess is you are trying to cut as low to the ground as possible. I would suggest as previously mentioned you should cut the conifers around a metre from the ground. This will give you better access to the stump that's left. Try removing as much soil as you can from around the base and if you have an axe or hatchet remove the bark from the base as it can contain dirt, small stones and other debris that will dull a chain in a second. Once you have good access to the stump and there is no way the chain can come into contact with the ground/soil then you should be able to cut good, clean wood and you will find the chain will last a lot longer.

the chain on a electric chainsaw ,are not the best anyway, do not let the chainsaw tip of the ground at anytime as it will blunt it right away" i use chainsaws in work all the time, and even with the best of them , if they tip off the clay they will blunt right away, try cutting the tree 3 feet up from the bottom, as you will need some of the tree to hold on too, to help you pull it up out of the ground, thats if you want to take all of the tree away, be safe with that saw"
