How can i fix it?

I have a SMEG A42-2 cooker with 2 fan assisted ovens, top oven works fine no probs, bottom larger oven fan comes on but element does not heat up. Does this mean that only the element needs replacing or are there any other common problems with these models. love some help Many thanks
