Gas Jet Lights but goes off again after about a minute?

I repaired a leak in a radiator downstairs I refilled the Gas CH system. Issue now is that my Ideal Classic Boiler fires for about 1 minute and then cuts out. I bled all Rads and the Valve on top of the pump. Still only fires for a minute then goes off but the system keeps on humming. I bled the pump while the system was on.Could it be I need to Drain the system again in the hopes I clear the blockage. Thats a pain as there is no Drain Valve so I will get a sunami of water when I disconect a lower floor pipe. TNX in advance.

Hi, was most likely an air lock in the main heat exchanger of your boiler. Can happen if you don't bleed system of air correctly from bottom up (i.e. downstairs first) or just because of system design sometimes. The boiler would have cut out due to overheating from lack of water or bad circulation. Open all valves fully, put any diverter valves into the open position, fill and patiently bleed bottom up. When you refilled the system with water did you also add some more inhbitor? (protects rads from rusting and causing sludge build up)

no one replied to me. So I persisted, prayed and had patience. Bled the pump loads. Fiddled with all the valves on the boiler. Bled the pump more. BLED RADS, TURNED ON TAPS WITH THE VALVES OFF.............now I have heat and hot water............God Helps those who help themselves.
