I had no spark when attempted to start mower after winter. Cut out switch appears to work ok and still no spark when switch disconnected. New plug tried, new coil assembly tried, but still no spark. What are the other likely causes of this? There are no contact breaker points or condenser fitted separately from coil assembly.
check magnets on flywheel should be able to hold a small size screwdriver up check gap on coil if still no go disconect the ground wire on the coil small lead try starting if that works your cut out switch is faulty beware if your machine does start you will need to pull the spark plug lead off to stop the engine
