Mend Indesit WIDL 1265 Washing Machine Take Water

what is causing my washing machine to take in water when i put it on a spin?

my indiset widl 1265 when i set it to a spin i hear a noise like the motor starting then it starts to spin then it starts taking in water and the lights flash and it stops spinning and carries on taking in water as though it wants to rinse
