citroen picasso 2002 brakes problem?

The switch is quiet difficult to see by the way..found it by feel rather than sight but the is one there.

Hi...had the same problem...you may have noticed the engine seems to hesitate also? If you look at the rear of the brake pedal near to where it hinges/fixed you should see a small black electrical switch. When you brake, it from my own experience, restricts fuel to the engine ( fuel economy) and also activates your brake light circuit. The switch is on what seems to be a thread of some kind. Just...can't remember which way, push or pull the switch until your brake lights are no longer illuminated..an assistant will make the job easier. The switch seems to creep along its fixing point over time so periodic adjustment may be required. You may find you have been driving with your brake lights on all the time?! Hope this helps.

brake pedal switch needs adjusting. its behind brake pedal linkage on passanger side.
