Mend Citroen C3 Picasso Fault Turn Ignition

Citroen C3 Picasso steering fault?

Hi,
Power steering packed up this morning, when i turn the ignition on the p/s warning light goes off then only comes on when the engine is started, is this common, i will try the 3 times ignition trick to see if it cures the problem

may be electric on these so make sure alternator belt is still on and check fuses
