Recent: Safely remove screen protector from a Macbook Air?

Mend Vacuum Cleaner Attachment

Flexible hose?

The hose has split where it attaches to the accessories end. I can see what looks like two retainer clips but after managing to push both of them in at the same time (no mean feat!) it stays stubbornly held in the attachment.
Any suggestions?
