Mend Mercedes-Benz 814 Brakes Pressure Air

hellllllllllppppppppppp vario 814 ?

hi ive got a mercedes vario 814 p reg the brakes locked because the handrake wasnt builing pressure as the air brakes we managed to manually release but still cant use van as need a new compressor or the compressor needs fixing its been parked up 4 a yr im at a loss of what to do can anybody help wirth sum advice

i expect you have fixed it by now, but the compressor relys on 3 pressure switches to kick it in. the plugs corrode badle, stopping the air build up. if you have released the clevice pins, as a manual release, make sure you set up the calipers correctly, or they will self adjust, and bind. this will cause the back brakes to burn out.

take the compressor top pipe off or just run it an feel the pipe if working it should get hot have found compressor head full of carbon soot blocking them had many problem with brake calipers on these to be honnest i think they made the vario from the mecedes waste bin best advice sell engine and weigh in the new vario aint no better

you need to check compressor outlet pipe to see if any air pressure is being delivered, if so then check for leaks,are drain valves leaking,is there a flexible hose from compressor that is leaking air,is any of pipework corroded,are any of actuators leaking air also check that multi circuit protection valve is not stuck and air drier unloader valve not stuck open,
