How to re-wire sewing machine motor?

How do you re- wire a B.R.K. 211 Singer Motor to a 15K Singer? The booklet has four wires coming out of the motor and mine has five. Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks for replying. I should have said I want to attach the motor to see if it works. the motor has two wires (cloth covered) coming out of a hole in the casing one of which is black with red specks the other is black. On the bottom of the motor casing is a square box with three wires plastic type coating and all black. the booklet that came with machine only seems to have four wires.

Hello Melanie,
The BRK motor is very old, what part of the motor do you want to rewire? if you have 5 wires then 2 should be red, 2 should be black and one should be green
