My advent 7104 is running xp, but I can not open a program. Can't run a system restore it keeps asking me what program to open the file in. Tried using the recovery disc but it's the same. Any ideas.
try starting your pc up in (safe mode) when your pc is starting /booting up" keep tapping on the F8 key. to get the pc to enter( windows advanced options) click on safe mode for new start up, then you can do system restore, put it back to a good date when you rember it working fine, good luck..
