car alarm & imobiliser honda accord?

Hi i brought a 2001 Hond Accord 2.0 a few days ago and everything was OK,but over the week end my alarm system doesn't seem to be working correctly. When i insert the key into the drivers door and turn it to lock the car i dont get a flashing red light on the instrument panel nor any indicators flashing to show that the imobiliser is activated. Any help on what seems to be wrong.
