Mend Carver Cascade 2 Water Heater

How to fix carver cascade 2 water heater?

Body has parted from front due to frost. I have put it
back together but it parted again. Do I need new seal
and rings to fix.

The tie rod is aluminium and subject to corrosion, particularly at the point where the "inside tank" meets the "outside vent" - apparently snapping is a common problem but I have no idea where you can obtain a new rod - if you find out please let me know!!!
