when tryin put connection on battery of my corsa it spaks and a strange ping noise then smoke and burning down near fan belt earth wire alt area

sounds like you've tried to reconnect the leads the wrong way round and the regulator/rectifier at the alternator has fried. Always re-connect red lead to positive (+) first then black lead to negative (-)
