Remove air filter cover by turning the knob counterclockwise while gently pulling on the cover. Remove the air filter, clean in warm soapy water and let air dry. Reverse above instructions to re-install.
The problem may be a clogged spark arrestor (muffler side).

I have the same problem, do you know where the air filter is located or if there is a gas filter. I took it apart but could'nt find where it is. Mine wont start at all now, but does if I spray gumout in the Carb. but only for 10 seconds then dies.
