Usually just a cross-head screwdriver and possibly a small socket set. Shouldn't need to remove the steering wheel.
Buy a Haynes workshop manual for your car, about £20 from Halfords or bookshops etc.
Well worth it, pictures, diagrams and instructions model-specific repairs and maintenance.
