hp dv9000 cant find my staret menu or desktop?

I cant find my desktop or start menu .im on it now i presed control,alt,del.to open task mgr. then to help then check online to get the list of avalible conections. then clicked on y conection to get here .any idea? it all started when i downloaded system suite 9
