01 vauxhall zafira 2.0 dti ?

car ems will come on and the car will lose power cut out and then refuse to start just turns overleft for a minute or 2 and then it will start but rough revs and leaves a large cloud white smoke . broke down on roundabout with kids on board very scary been told fuel pump fault any ideas. had new glow plugs fuel filter and oil/oil filter change
