Mend Indesit WAX 120 UK Drain Pump

Indesit ( plaset ) drain pump?

I am replacing a Plaset drain pump on my Indesit WAX 120 UK. The new pump has a positive and negative terminal however the original was not marked for it's polarity. Both leads running in are Red .Are the pumps polarity concious and if wired the wrong way would they just suck instead of blow or do any electrical damage.
