sony hcd-rx66. my stereo turns off when i turn it on?

how can i fix my stereo? when i cut it on it "tape a" then it clicks a few times then it says "eject" then it shuts off showing the time. if i press the funtion button on start up a few times i can get the stero to stay on but when i do that, trying to play a tape in the cassete player makes the display say "eject" then it shuts right off again. im sure this problem is coming from the cassette player itself. model hcd-rx66 sony.

what you do is you get a service menual off the internet and take the tape deck ot and fix the bands back up so they are streight again be careful to to br4eak the desplay this should fix your problem.
