Mend Vauxhall Corsa Club 16v Easytronic Start Car

vauxhall corsa club 16v easytronic?

When i start my car up and put it into automatic.. which shows up as A on my dashboard..the A keeps flashing and the car will not get into gear..this has happened a few times and i have to keep putting it back to neutral or reverse a few times before it will stop flashing and go into gear. Could it be my starting motor? Getting afraid to far in it ..in case i can't get back..the car is 8yrs old. Thanks

check to see if you have any oil leaks around gearbox, as lack of transmisson fluid will make gears "slip" you could ask for help from an automatic transmisson tech. this will be unlikley to do with the starter motor, which dis-engages once car has started.
