How can I convert my flat roof into roof terrace?

Take note of Brian he's right in all he says.
A neighbour to where I used to live in West London had a small narrow balcony put on their loft extension bedroom and the timbers were biggies about 7" x 3" and closer together than normal and had steel balcony railings they would not allow timber ones, they were b...y heavy I helped to put them up on to the balcony.

in a few months you'll be asking how do i stop the rain coming through my flat roof. Unless the roof has been designed and built to be used as a terrace you cannot only damage the roof you will probably damage yourself when you fall through. If it's a standard flat roof you'll need planning permission, safety rails, strengthening joists, recovering etc. etc.
