Mend Bosch BSG71810GB Faulty Start Switch

Can a faulty start switch be fixed?

My bosch formula(BSG71810GB) will not stay switched on. When the start switch is depressed the machine starts, but as soon as the pressure on the switch is released, the machine stops.
