Why won't my Toshiba HDTV 50H81 turn on?

My Toshiba 50" widescreen HDTV Model 50H81 just shut off in the middle of viewing. Now the light next to the power button blinks constantly and the TV will not turn on. I've tried unplugging it and still nothing. What is wrong with it?

I am having the same problem with my Toshiba now. Did you get an answer? A repair guy has had our TV for a couple of weeks and is about to throw up his hands. Don't want to keep throwing good money after bad. My wife wants me to chalk it up as a loss and get a new one.
