Mend Grohe 37746000 Cistern Flush Toilet

grohe cistern will not flush properly?

I have a grohe push button back to the wall built in cistern and it will only flush if I hold the button in until the water has gone.Before the problem started I could use the short flush or long flush with no problem. Any ideas?
