Mend Hotpoint WMD960P Washing Machine Power

Any idea why my WMD960P made a bang and stopped working?

Hotpoint WMD960P now completely dead with no sign of any power, but the fuse at the wall switch is ok. Also, any idea how to open the door and get my washing out?
