Burglar alarm malfunction in cold weather?

Hi Alarm, yes anyone who has a fault that has a £45.00 service agreement gets free call outs, We get the odd battery fail, which we charge £20.00 for a 7amp yuasa and no call out fee. Replacement bell boxes are £55.00 no call out fee etc etc,
In my area in Kent, a lot of the bigger companies have gone bust, we are very busy.
Average install Scantronic 9651 EN, 3 quad Risco detectors and a contact etc etc about £475

The problem first happened this week, since that one night nothing, all my customers get free call outs, their yearly service charge is £45 inc vat all labour is free regardless how long we are there, so if it happens again, i will go back there and sort it out, free of charge,

Well that's a good attitude for an alarm engineer, and I use the term loosely, to have towards knowledge that could help fix a problem quickly and efficiently as against ripping off the client by unnecessarily fitting a new box.

Even one of my NovaGard bell boxes was doing this the other day, Nothing you can do, apart from replace the bell box, or wait untill it warms up a degree or 2.

RISCO SOUNDERS

You have a Risco external sounder and there was a fault on them ( Earlier ones).

When very cold it "chirps".

You will either have to put up with it, get it changed, or get someone who knows the fix for this.

Basically you have to alter (CUT) one of the tracks on the PCB.
