Ferroli Falcon boiler Fault?

When I turn my boiler on it fires up for 10 seconds and tuns of so carnt get hot water or heating can anyone help

i have falcon boiler. it is working in the first cycle. but will not modulate in second cycle. it just keeps going till it hits the over heat stat. help.

I have same problem with falcon II hot water keeps on turning cold and the boiler keeps firing up and then shutting down for 2-3 seconds and then starting up again this happens on the heating and hot water had the thermisters changed still no joy.

can anyone advise

i have the same problem, but its only the hot water going hot and cold.
i have changed the dhw sensor but has only lasted 6months.
is there any way of checking the sensor before fitting as i have just replaced with a new dhw sensor and i have still the same problem should i use some heat sink paste on the sensor???????

The pressure on our boiler has dropped to zero. How do we get it back to 1.5 bar?

think i have the same sort of problem.had the boiler fitted about 5 years ago and its never been right.had quite a few rows with ferroli over it but given up.the hot waters fine until i try to put the heating on after being off for a while then i lose both.you then hear it keep going for 30 seconds then stoping and the heating light staying on or the water light staying on and no ignition light then its back to cold showers.if anyone knows how to fix this i live in essex.cheers

Had the same problem with my Ferroli Falcon - replaced the sensors - still had the same problem. Found out that the heater exchange in the top of the boiler needed replacing £360+vat..just for the part. This is because the flame is generating too much heat inside and the boiler is trying to cool down by switching off then back on again. The boiler cost circa £400-450, so might as well get a new boiler. If the sensors have gone, you can normally see a load of muck on them like carbon etc, but mine were as clean as a whistle, so knew it was another problem.

I had this issue it was teh plastic venturi and testpoint peices of plastic in the fan. two rubber tubes run to the airswitch from them. Put new ones in (they were blocked with dust and were disintegrating) and its worked fine for a year. mine has just gone again im going to order new ones and an airswitch this time. A quick check if its this is to pop out both the top hat vents in teh top of teh boiler and give it more fresh air. If it runs better then this is the issue i had. Good luck.

i had the same problem, fitting a new thermister sorted the hot water out.
they were 20 quid a pair.

got a new problem now though, the radiator standby light flashes and then goes off after a few mins.

any ideas?

Sounds like your "Domestic Hot Water Flow Temperature Sensor" has gone. When you buy these you get them in pairs (one also for Central Heating Flow Sensor as well, if the DHW (domestic hot water) one has gone the heating will follow)(Usually) they are easy to install just remember to drain eaither side heating/hot water when you install or you will end up spraying your PCB (expensive!)
