Mend Scunci Steaming Steam Stopped

My Scunci won't STOP steaming?

My Scunci releases steam but can not be stopped. I took it apart and see the piston is frozen. I mostly use distilled water and rinse it out after every use so I don't think there is much in the way of calcium build up. But, on the outside chance it is, should I try vinegar anyway. What else.
