switching ignition barrels for use with unchipped keys?
ive obtained a set of locks for my 97 transit and this includes a new ignition barrel with 2 unchipped keys.i noticed that theres a plastic ring around the ignition for the imobiliser.if i replace the ignition barrel with the new one with the unchipped keys will this bypass the imobiliser
the motor will have to go to ford or someone with the correct diagnostic machine to code in your keys properly,once these are coded in you can use these keys to code in other spare keys
